Social pedagogics

Graduates from the specialty ”Social Pedagogics” are qualified for research and analyses over the social status of groups and categories from the population in national and regional aspect; investigating, registering and offering support for families and individual citizens, which according to the law can be qualified as indigent or disabled; determination and administration of: free or partly subsidiary medicines, support for unemployed, mothers without social security or lonely mothers, soldiers families, charge free transport for mothers of many children, consultation for specialized nursery homes, documentation management and control over the funds for short and long term social security; defining labor categories and basic income for pension as well as the amount of the different pensions; participation in divining and distribution of humanitarian aids; management, control and methodical organization of the activities at the social institutions; activities with abused children or children with delinquent behavior. During the process of education, students could choose among the following specializations: work with old people, children, youth or families at risk.

Students which have successfully graduated the specialty could find their professional realization in boarding schools, nursing homes, at the municipality social care departments, working agencies or bureaus for work with children with criminal behavior (after additional qualification). During their education students could apply for various eligible disciplines (payed) which guarantee them certification for school teaching.

After graduating with the educational degree bachelor, students could continue their education for the educational degree master-pedagogue in specialized programs.

Notice: Documents for candidates for the specialty “Social pedagogics ” are not accepted without certificate for successfully passed exam from the commission for examination of the speech and communicational skills.
