Department of Language and Specialized Training of Foreign Students. (DLSTFS) is a structural unit Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv, established by decision of the Academic Council of the University dated 21 st  of February, 2005 (Minutes № 12), in accordance with the requirements of the Ordinance on the Admission of Students to Bulgarian universities (Decree № 79/2000). The Department meets the needs of prospective students by providing training in Bulgarian as a foreign language as well as training in other languages, in which the lectures and seminars will be carried out in the respective programmes of Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv. It also provides training in special subjects related to the professional field in which the foreign students will acquire their degrees.

The DLSTFS has a team of highly qualified lecturers. Their experience and professional skills result in the regular updating of the syllabi, improving testing techniques and the development of textbooks and teaching aids.
