Faculty of chemistry has already successfully graduated six classes in this specialty. Graduates find find professional realization in the country and abroad.
Education in this specialty includes two basic directions: The first one includes chemical disciplines forming the fundamental knowledge in basic chemistry disciplines: overall and inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physics chemistry and chemical technologies. The other component develops knowledge and skills for dealing chemical issues by using computer technologies: data bases and basics of programming, chemical informatics and bio-informatics, computer modeling in chemistry and computer design of biologically active substances.
Students studying in this bachelor program are trained in the following:
* maintaining technological processes in chemical laboratories for control and assisting chemical productions by using digital technologies, establishment an support of informational networks;
* development, implementation and improvement new technologies by using software for drugs design, new materials, modeling and simulation of processes, creating programs and data bases, expert systems and others;
* development of new and improvement of existing methods for analysis, control and testing of materials, raw materials and products of industry, pharmacy, cosmetics, agriculture and environment;
* scientifically applicable research in the field of chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnologies, nanotechnologies, informatics, ecology and others.
The many opportunities for professional realization are result of the successful combination between the two main directions – chemistry and computer sciencies.
Motivated students have opportunities for semester scholarships at European universities.
Simultaneously with the bachelor program, students could take advantage of the courses for additional qualification, offered by various programs available at the faculty.
The combined preparation in chemistry and the computer skills gained are excellent precondition for the future graduates to continue their education at master programs at the faculty or abroad.
