Period of study: 8 semesters (4 years)
Forms of study: regular & external
Evaluation scoring: see annex #1
Chemistry is classic university specialty, which includes wide spectrum fundamental and practical training, including all basic sections of chemistry: inorganic, organic and analytical chemistry, physics and chemistry and chemical technologies. This is the only specialty from the chemical studies with both regular and external forms of study.
The earnest knowledge in the basic principles, theories, terminology and facts in chemistry create the necessary base for students interested in scientific and research activities. Graduated bachelors have up to date laboratory skills, useful both for their professional realization as bachelors and additional qualification at master programs, available at the university.
Future bachelors at the specialty “Chemistry” are trained for the following activities:
* development and improvement of methods for analysis, control and testing of materials, raw materials and products for industry, medicine, biochemistry, agriculture and environmental objects;
* research, development, implementation and improvement of technologies;
* chemical based activities at chemical, food, metal and other manufactures with chemical application;
* scientifically applicable research in the sphere of chemistry as well as interdisciplinary research in the bordering areas of various scientific spheres.
Thanks to the bilateral contracts, motivated students are able to gain scholarships for a semester at foreign universities.
By will, simultaneously with the bachelor program, students are also able to participate in various programs for additional qualifications, available at the faculty.
Successfully graduated students could continue their education for the educational degree “master” at the same or other faculty at the university or even at other universities in the country or abroad.
