Mission

THE DLSTFS MISSON

The main mission of the DLSTFS is to ensure high academic standards and to apply innovative teaching methods and strategies in the course of the language and specialized training of foreign students, who are enrolled in the undergraduate and post-graduate programs run by Plovdiv University or other universities in the Republic of Bulgaria. In addition, the department provides language training to foreign citizens (including those with Bulgarian citizenship), who just want to study Bulgarian. 

The results of the training run by the DLSTFS can be judged by the number of its graduates - over 1000 people so far (from Greece, Turkey, North Macedonia, The Republic of Serbia, Montenegro, Russia, Albania, Romania, Palestine, Syria, Cuba, Iraq, India, Germany, Moldova, Ukraine, etc..)

Another important objective of the DLSTFS is to organize and run courses in Bulgarian language for students and lecturers, who are participants in Erasmus, CEEPUS, and Fulbright academic exchange programs.
