Student council
The Student Council is the only statutory body for the protection of the common rights and interests of students and PhD students at Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv according to Art. 72 of the Higher Education Act. The activity of the Student Council is determined by the Higher Education Act and the Regulations for the Structure and Activity of the Student Council. The Student Council consists of representatives of the students and PhD students in the General Assembly of Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv, distributed on a quota basis in proportion to the number of students in the respective faculty. All students and PhD students at Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv have the right to elect and be elected to the governing bodies of the University. Restrictions or privileges based on race, nationality, ethnicity, sex, origin, religion, beliefs, political affiliation, personal and social status or property status are not permitted in the exercise of this right. Each student of PU can participate in the work of the Council and use its resources and opportunities. The main goal of the Student Council is to express and protect the common interests (intellectual, social, cultural, sportive, creative, etc.) of students and PhD students in Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv.
